Coolclogher House and Estate is a large luxury holiday rental manor walking distance to Killarney town.It has been lovingly restored by the Harnett family to the highest standards to provide guests with luxurious vacation rental accommodation in a beautiful and unique setting, lush green landscape with a mountain backdrop. Coolclogher House rental manor is hidden away in a 68 acre walled estate very private and secluded.It has 7 large luxury bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Bedrooms can be made up with king beds, twin beds and some treble to suit guests requirements this flexibility works well for our guests.

At Coolclogher House you can read for hours undisturbed, wander in the secluded gardens or let your mind drift away whilst enjoying the majestic landscape of the ‘Ring of Kerry’. Wi-fi internet access and satellite TV are also available.

HOUSE RENTAL

Coolclogher Manor House is a very charming vacation rental where guests can make the whole house their ‘home from home’ on a week by week basis. Coolclogher’s generous proportions, elegant period decor and modern conveniences make it an ideal vacation home on the Ring of Kerry route. Chinese Toile Bedroom

The Chinese Toile bedroom at Coolclogher Manor House has three window views, beautiful red and cream wallpaper, . There is a large en suite bathroom with a large tub and hand-held shower.

The striking red and beige Toile de Jouy wallpaper sets the theme for this large guest bedroom, located in a very private corner of the house. Carefully chosen antique furniture and soft furnishing such a chaise longue covered in rose, an armchair, an antique dressing table and spacious wardrobes add to the theme. The comfortable seating allows guests to sit back and relax in the privacy of their room and, as with all of Coolclogher Manor House’s guest bedrooms, enjoy the views of the tranquil and majestic Kerry countryside.

All of Coolclogher’s guest bedrooms have modern, comfortable king-size beds to ensure guests have a really good night’s sleep. Crisp white cotton bedlinen, modern bathroom fittings and central heating are a necessary concession to modern living but in no way detract from the wonderful historic Country Manor House ambiance of Coolclogher. Each room is unique with delightful architectural details such as shuttered windows, high ceilings and deep skirting’s.

The Cream Bedroom

Guests are assured of a wonderful night’s sleep in our beautifully appointed Cream Bedroom.  As with all of the guest rooms at Coolclogher House, Killarney, County Kerry, this corner bedroom is large, bright and comfortable with a modern king-size bed that compliments the array of antique furnishings.

Our Cream Bedroom features an original fireplace with a stone mantle, a small sofa, an elegant antique armoire and vanity table. The elegant tall windows on two sides allow fabulous views of the grounds, woods and mountains.

This room has a private en suite bathroom which is very spacious, with a large claw foot roll-top bath and over bath shower. Modern bathroom fittings allow guests the luxury of long hot baths but have been selected in a style that compliments the Irish Country House style of Cooclogher House. The gleaming wood floor is given extra warmth with a large oriental rug.

The Green Bedroom

Our Green Bedroom is a bright calm and relaxing room with light green and beige toile wallpaper and white woodwork. Hand made and painted wardrobe and chairs, modern central heating, soft wool carpets, and crisp white egyptian cotton bedlinen add to the comfort of this lovely room.

Three large windows offer guests spectacular views.

The Beams Bedroom

The Beams Bedroom is is the largest of Coolclogher Manor House’s guest bedrooms and is also decorated in warm inviting colours. The upholstered headboard of the generous king-size bed adds a touch of luxury and a beautiful mirrored armoire is amongst the array of fine antique furnishings, that also include a wing chair, a marble topped dressing table and matching chair and a gold slipper chair. There are large windows and views.

The dark wood exposed beams imbue this room with character and the low set windows flood the room with light, affording guests wonderful views of the gardens and stone walls that once enclosed the kitchen garden of Coolclogher Country House.

The Gold Bedroom

Our Gold Bedroom is slightly smaller than our other guest bedrooms – but it is still large by most standards. Views from the shuttered windows are of the trees and the side driveway.

A comfortable easy chair, an antique chest of drawers and a luxurious armoire compliment the antique gold wallpaper and add to the cosy ambiance of this room.

This bedroom also has superior quality en-suite bathroom facilities with a modern high-powered shower.

The Rose Bedroom

Our Rose Bedroom has raspberry and beige toile wallpaper, white woodwork, an original fireplace with a black marble mantle and soft cream carpet. The antique furniture includes a settee in gold silk and a mahogany dressing table with chair. A large built-in closet for folded and hanging clothes offers plenty of storage.

This room is flooded with light through the three tall windows that look onto the lawn and mountains.

Our Rose Bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with modern shower.

The Yellow Bedroom

Our Yellow Bedroom is a bright and spacious guest bedroom with yellow and cream wallpaper.  It has a queen bed, antique bedside tables, a dressing table and chairs.

The large shuttered windows offer superb views overlooking our lawns and the parkland beyond.

The Kitchen

For Self catering guests at Coolclogher Country House, the well-equipped kitchen is a dream in which every need is catered for. A large, open, country kitchen style allows meals to be prepared and eaten around the family dining table.

A wonderful range cooker with modern extraction hood, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and an array of electrical appliances are to hand. Painted units, wooden work-tops and a traditional style dresser prevent the kitchen looking too modern for such a wonderful old house. The mellow green of the walls is offset by vibrant terracotta coloured flooring and the whole room is flooded with natural light – if not exactly the heart of Coolclogher Country House this kitchen is sure to be a popular gathering point for all the family.

A wood-burning stove at one end of the kitchen is a welcoming focal point, especially after a bracing walk amongst the fields and gardens that surround Coolclogher Country House. Soft easy chairs are just ideal for sinking into while you toast your toes!

The guest bedroom also has modern en suite bathroom facilities.

The Green Sitting Room

As you enter the main hall the first of Coolclogher’s comfortable sitting rooms is to your right.  The walls are painted a historic library green colour and the open fireplace is in original red antique Kilkenny marble, with a large gilt over mantle. The original wood polished floor, beautifully maintained, with a large  Oriental rug and  a large sofa upholstered in gold fabric and various easy chairs.

There’s a mahogany games table, a secretare and a round card table in front of a window; a TV and VCR are in a mahogany  cabinet.  The triple aspect arched windows face the extensive grounds and the mountains beyond the property.  As elsewhere in the house, there are no window coverings, just beautifully crafted mouldings painted a historic white.

The Dining Room

The spacious and elegantly furnished dining room seats 12 amidst the glint of polished wood and an eye-catching chinese inspired wall-paper. Breakfast is eaten around the table where guests can get to know one another and share the previous day’s experiences.

The Gold Sitting Room

Further down the main hall is the large yellow drawing room.  A red sofa sits on a rose and blue Oriental rug.  The fireplace mantle is white marble with a large gilt over mantle. the floors here are the original like before and there is an upright piano, easy chairs with a fine, antique round table in front of a large bay window.  Plants, many fresh flowers, books, antiques, art and other accessories make this a splendid and very comfortable room.
